Do this for 5 seconds…
What if we told you that the reason you could be struggling with your workouts, following your meal plan, or sticking with some of your new healthy habits …
Is your phone?
Hear us out…
When we scroll on our phones, our brains release dopamine — a.k.a. the same “feel-good” chemical we get when we eat our favorite foods or get a hug.
Sounds harmless, right?
Unfortunately, research is finding that those quick dopamine hits from our phones can create a cycle of instant gratification similar to substance abuse!
When that happens, our brains start to prefer those quick, satisfying dopamine hits over any sort of delayed gratification…
And as you can imagine, that can make it harder to do things you don’t want to do — like go to the gym when you’d rather sit and scroll.
Our suggestion?
The next time you catch yourself grabbing your phone just to scroll, count to five.
If you still feel the urge, do something active for just five minutes instead.
Take a short walk, stretch, or even just step outside for a breath of fresh air.
This small break can help reset your brain and give you a burst of energy and focus!

Q: Is exercise necessary for weight loss?
Q: Is exercise necessary for weight loss?
A: If one of your goals is to lose body weight on the scale, most of your results will come from what (and how much) you eat.
But exercise, specifically strength training, is definitely a HUGE part of the process!
First, it helps you maintain (and even build) muscle as you lose weight, which is key in keeping your metabolism strong. It also has an impact on your body’s shape.
Plus, regular exercise is strongly correlated with maintaining your weight after you’ve reached your goal … to help avoid that dreaded yo-yo.
Even more importantly, your workouts carry a long list of health benefits, including a lower risk of many illnesses & diseases, improved mood, better brain health, reduced risk of falls, and so much more!

Want fitness to stick?
For fitness to stick...it needs to accomplish a few things...
1. Produce a desirable result.
2. Fit into a busy schedule consistently.
3. Be enjoyable on some level.
Instead of seeking out these qualities, many of us choose going HAM in every area of fitness and nutrition possible...
1. Super strict eating style...think no carbs, no sugar, keto, 8/16 intermittent fasting, etc. (boo)
2. Going from training inconsistently to 5-6 days a week (yikes!)
3. Starting a workout that we don't enjoy because we think the extra intensity of something REALLY hard and physically crushing will be a game changer.
But what often happens is we get hurt, we burn out, we have a set back, or don't see the radical change we feel we deserve for our sacrifice and give up.
If you are wanting to improve the way you look, move, and feel through a smart habit change progression eating model, build an effective training routine that you can sustain that will give you positive results, and enjoy the journey...reach out.
We are here for the person listening who wants to develop a winning mindset, nutrition, and fitness habits once and for all!
